Katie has worked across community service organisations and the government sector with a career spanning more than thirty years, the majority in management and executive roles.

Recognised for her achievements as a motivating leader who focuses on developing people through innovative approaches to recruitment, retention and professional development, she has presented on a range of topics and workforce development initiatives at conferences including, LASA Qld State Conferences (2014, 2015), Health Workforce Australia National Conference (2018), Aged and Community Services Australia - COVID Response Workshops (2020) and the Aged Care Workforce Summit (2023).

Her diverse work experience includes:

• 13+ years in the aged care and disability sectors, specialising in home care
• Executive manager with for-profit aged care/NDIS provider (2020-2024)
• Non-Executive Board Member for not-for-profit charity (2019-2023)
• Workforce Business Partner - ACSA (2019-2020)
• Executive manager with residential and home care not-for-profit (2014-2019)
• Business Partner with the Community Services & Health Industry Skills Council - Aged Care Workforce Innovation Network (WIN) Project (2012-2014)
